Board Range Get New Guides To Help Specifiers
Tullis Russell has introduced mini-guides to showcase the recent additions to its SBS board range, Trucard.
According to Tullis Russell, each mini-guide folds down to an A6-sized product guide to give users and specifiers the information required for them to make an choice from Trucard's new products.
Each guide features use of four-colour process print on coated and uncoated surfaces and demonstrates the creasing and folding properties of the range, which is said to be suitable for a variety of graphical and packaging applications.
The guides are being distributed throughout the UK and Europe by the company and they have been translated in to German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
They illustrate the variety of textures and finishes available across the range showcasing the recent new additions to the range - Trucard Ice, Trucard 1 matt, Trucard 0 and Trucard 1 gloss recycled.
Trucard Ice is described by Tullis Russell as having the smooth surface of a traditional cast coated grade, but it has the print and conversion performance of a conventional cartonboard.
The coating formulation of the finish is said to allow the use of standard inks but achieves the drying speeds of conventional coated grades.
Trucard Ice is claimed to be suitable for lamination with glossy, matt, metalised or pearlescent films and foils.
Trucard 0 is said to answer the growing demand for a more tactile uncoated surface, and it is an uncoated, wood-free SBS cartonboard, available in three finishes.
Trucard 1 matt is fully-coated on one side and is said to have high levels of whiteness and brightness.
It combines a smooth matt coated surface with bulk and stiffness added the company and the product is said to complement the company's two-side coated product, Trucard 2 matt.
Meanwhile, Trucard 1 gloss recycled is a fully-coated single-side gloss board containing a minimum of 50 per cent of de-inked, post-consumer recycled pulp, as well as carrying the NAPM recycled mark it is also FSC certified, said Tullis Russell.
The product is said to use only top quality post-consumer reclaimed material, so that it prints and converts like standard Trucard, whilst maintaining a bright, white, clean and dust free surface.
The company added that following the continued demand for recycled grades, it has further widened the choice available with the addition of recycled versions of Trucard 2 gloss, Trucard 0 matt and Trucard 0 felt.
Tullis Russell said that the Trucard product range uses a twin-wire base for bulk, stiffness and dimensional stability.
Each specification in the range is fully FSC certified, made from ECF pulps and fully recyclable.
The Trucard range mini guides were printed by Capscan in Edinburgh (Scotland) and designed by Size Design.
