SBS Board Range Now Includes Matt Coated Products

Tullis Russell has extended its coated SBS board range, New Gemini, with the addition of matt coated options.

The new single-sided and two-sided coated matt versions are said to complement the company's gloss coated finishes and, like the existing New Gemini range, the new products are FSC certified.

New Gemini is said to have been designed to serve a range of print and conversion processes, whilst providing printers with greater choice and flexibility for a range of applications, including packaging, folders and greetings cards.

The range is also available, on an indent basis, with a choice of textile, leather and abstract designs embossed on to the coated surface suitable for card and cover applications.

The twin-wire base construction and double coated surface are claimed to provide bulk and stiffness, whilst the whiteness and brightness on the matt coated and uncoated sides, give the printer the opportunity to reproduce demanding graphics and physical designs accurately and consistently, said Tullis Russell.

The New Gemini range is fully FSC-certified, recyclable and made from 100 per cent elemental chlorine-free (ECF) wood pulps, obtained from sustainably managed forests, added the company.

Users seeking a recycled option can opt for New Gemini Recycled, which is FSC-certified and contains 50 per cent post consumer waste.
