Tullis Russell's new paper cutter helps cut costs

A Tullis Russell Group product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Nov 7, 2008

Papermaker Tullis Russell has bought a GBP800K cutter to increase efficiency and improve yield at its production site in Glenrothes, Fife.

The cutter also reduces the need to outsource cutting services.

The cutter can handle a range of products and formats, varying from 95gsm plain paper to 500gsm coated paper, in sizes from 400 x 400mm to 1200 x 1400mm.

Tullis Russell sent the team involved in installing and operating the machine to the Marquip centre in the US, to see first hand how it should be operated.
