Northprint 07 Show Marks Debut For Turning Point

Turning Point said it will to demonstrate a fully integrated web-to-digital print system.

The company has integrated iWay web-to-print system, Xinet's Webnative digital asset management system and Directsmile image personalisation software with Xerox's Docucolor 250 printer.

The system is said to enable printers to provide their customers with a high level of creative personalisation, support and response.

The iWay software contains a template-based ordering system, allowing customers to submit and buy print jobs online and so help printers achieve short-run printing at lower cost and grow their page volume, said Turning Point.

Xinet Webnative digital asset management system is an internet-based facility that allows users to search, download, upload, preview and re-purpose files and artwork, from anywhere, 24-hours a day, added the company.

Directsmile's imaging technology taps in to the emotional impact of personalised images for true one-to-one marketing, said Turning Point.

The company added that there is nothing more personal than a consumer seeing his or her name in lights (or stars or snowflakes) or as a licence plate on a beautiful car.

Using Directsmile the effectiveness of marketing campaigns can be increased reaching higher awareness, with greater impact and dramatically higher response rates.

Turning Point is a platinum Xerox value added reseller and it will show at Northprint, how the Xerox Docucolor 250 printing multi-functional device that is claimed to enable printers to take on more jobs more often.

With quick turn-arounds, the Docucolor offers claimed speeds of up to 50 pages per minute (ppm) colour and 65ppm mono.

The image quality of the Docucolor 250 is 2,400 dots per inch (dpi) x 2,400dpi, with numerous input and finishing options, the device is ready to provide in-line stapling, hole punching, V-folding and saddle-stitch booklets, said the company.

Demonstrations at Northprint will enable visitors to see how the new web-to-print software reduces the need for print room intervention by allowing customers to self-proof and personalise their preferred document designs and go straight to print, said Turning Point.
