Independent UK finishing equipment distributor, Total Print Finishing Services (Total PFS) is using Northprint to demonstrate its range of digital and traditional print finishing equipment.

Amongst the products on show on the Total stand will be the Creasemaster Pro digital impact scoring and creasing system, the Introma ZD-2SR stitching machine, the Stago PB2015 paper drill and Stago HM15/2 and H18T stapling machines.

Clive Richardson, managing director of Total PFS, said: "Northprint provides us with the ideal platform to profile our range of print finishing products to the UK market.

As the demand for truly dedicated print-on-demand (POD) and finishing-on-demand (FOD) operations continues to grow, organisations are looking for systems to help maximise their business offerings.

Northprint enables visitors to the Total PFS stand to see a range of equipment that will complement traditional and digital print environments, enabling printing companies to enhance their business models and offer their customers a wider and more flexible service." Total PFS will be demonstrating the Creasemaster Pro, which has been specifically designed with the digital printer, at Northprint on stand M428, in hall M.

The Creasemaster Pro impact scores digitally printed stock prior to folding, eliminating the problem of toner cracking on printed material, instead offering a professional finish.

It is stream-fed by hand at claimed speeds of up to 2,000 sheets per hour.

The floor-standing system also has an operator friendly menu, driven touch screen control, whilst inverted and regular impact scoring dies enable Z folds to be produced in a single pass, said Total PFS.

With the CreaseMaster Pro, up to five jobs can be stored in its memory and up to five scores per sheet can be programmed at any time.

The machine is aimed at low-volume to mid-volume users and can be upgraded to the suction feed Creasemaster Plus, which offers additional features, such as a strike perforating unit.

The Crease, aster Pro can finish a range of applications from business cards and leaflets, through to four-sided brochures, said the company.

The Introma ZD-2SR stitching machine offers flat, saddle and stab stitching in single-cycle and continuous stitching mode.

With a claimed speed of up to 180 stitches per minute, the Introma ZD-2SR is available as a single-phase or three-phase model, ensuring its suitability for commercial litho print houses through to office-based digital print uses.

The stitcher incorporates protective shields coupled with an electric control system to provide maximum safety for operators, said Total PFS.

Total Print Finishing Services' Stago PB2015 paper drill has two drilling spindles and a drilling diameter of 2mm - 15mm.

It can be fixed or the sliding table can enable greater drilling flexibility.

It comes with either manual, or automatic spindle stroke and offers a six position programming bar.

The HM-15/2 is the new twin head version of the HM15 stapling machine.

It has been developed to meet the demand for a mid-range, power operated stapling machine, commented Total PFS.

The HM15/2 has a stapling capacity of 150 80gsm sheets and provides pad and saddle stapling with a flat clinched finish.

The HM15/2 is said to be suitable for organisations that have the need for a power operated machine with a small footprint and an efficient twin-head stapling mechanism.

Also on show at Northprint will be the Stago H18T, a manually-operated single staple model for commercial and digital printers and copy shops and high street printers with modest finishing requirements.

The machine provides pad stapling and comes with a large metal table.

As the machine weighs 13kg, the operator is able to move the itaround the print house or in-house print department.

Clive Richardson commented: "The print finishing marketplace is evolving at great pace.

By investing in equipment that will support current offerings and embrace the likes of JDF as we see more cost-effective machines come to market, print companies will be best placed to offer truly versatile premium print finishing services that add real value to both customers and existing business models.

At Total PFS we've had a busy start to the year and are looking forward to a strong and successful Northprint to support driving our business forward.".
