Stapler Streamlines Council's Print Finishing

Hampshire (UK) Hart District Council has added to its finishing department by investing in a Stago HM15 stapler, supplied by independent finishing company, Total Print Finishing Services (Total PFS).
The machine, which was bought last month, has replaced an older model and now provides the organisation with a more efficient finishing operation.
Ron Worsfold, reprographics manager for Hart District Council, said: "We've been very impressed with the performance of the HM15 stapler so far.
It's refreshing to see a quality-built machine.
It's solid, well made and very easy to use." Worsfold added that the council has dealt with Total PFS over many years and the regular contact has given the two organisations the chance to build and maintain a positive relationship based on trust and great service.
Continued Worsfold: "The Stago stapler is the latest in a series of products Hart Council has purchased from Total PFS.
Previously, Total has also supplied us with a numbering and perforating machine, bookletmaker, guillotine, folder and a collator.
I've always found Total PFS to be very helpful, and over the years we've built up an excellent relationship.
For example, there have been occasions in the past when we've urgently needed an engineer and Total PFS has always responded quickly.
In fact, it's worked out more cost-effective to have a service agreement with Total PFS, based in Weston-Super-Mare, than with a London-based supplier." Hart District Council's print department has been operating since the mid-1980s and for the last 12 years, Worsfold has been in charge of the day-to-day running of all of the council's in-house printing and finishing services.
Ron Worsfold explained: "We produce a range of materials for the council, including quarterly magazines and corporate collateral.
One of the main printing jobs is the production and finishing of council agendas that support an extensive number of community meetings that are held each year.
Stapling these agendas has been a time consuming operation in the past, however, the new Stago stapler has significantly reduced production time in this regard." The Stago HM15 is part of the Stago stapler series and meets the demand in the market for a mid-range power-operated stapling machine with a small footprint, believes Total PFS.
The stapling system is claimed to enable up to 150, 80gsm stock to be made in to a pad, or to have inserted a loop, or to be flat or saddle stapled in a single pass.
The HM15 is GS/CE certified and runs off a 240/50Hz power supply.
The HM15 joins Total PFS's growing range of finishing products, which extends to all areas of finishing, including numbering, digital creasing, stitching, laminating, cutting, folding and drilling machines.
