capacities
Technotrans opts for change-over of production from England to Germany
After an extensive assessment of manufacturing capacities, Technotrans - leading systems supplier of equipment for the manufacture of print and optical storage media - has decided to centralise all its European cooling system manufacturing at its German operation in Sassenberg This necessitates the closure of the manufacturing facility at Technotrans Graphics Ltd in the UK, although the company will continue to operate as a significant sales and service operation within the world-wide Group recognising the importance of the UK printing industry

The company expects a positive impact on the 2003 year-end result despite the restructuring charges in the first quarter.
"Every effort is being made to keep the transition period as short as possible and to ensure minimum effect on delivery times," Stacey points out.
"Our main focus was and remains maximum customer support and we will keep up our tradition of customer focus and partnership in the future.".
