Technotrans, the German press ancillaries manufacturer has launched its new addition to the Ink.line system.

Technotrans, the German press ancillaries manufacturer has launched its new addition to the Ink.line system.

The Ink.line ink supply system supplies sheet-fed offset presses fully automatically with ink from standardised two kilogram cartridges and has been installed more than 6,000 times across the world since 1999, said Technotrans.

It operates in such a way that as the cartridge container opens automatically, all the printer has to do is to remove the old cartridge and to insert a new one.

With the new generation product, Technotrans has now included a fully automatic cartridge exchanger.

The Ink.line can now also be equipped with six ink cartridges instead of only one and the ink quantity has been increased from two kilograms to 12kg so that the system now only needs one cartridge per shift, claimed the company.

If higher quantities of ink are required, Ink.line can be equipped with a patented valve set and used as a central direct ink supply system.

Handling is further simplified by the new fastening of the ink agitator and Technotrans said that the system is also compatible with UV-inks.

Major press manufacturers have already integrated ink consumption measurement systems into presses, which Technotrans said were sought by many customers.
