West Yorkshire (UK) print engineering firm TUS UK is about to step up a gear, with a move to a new business unit on the Thorp Arch Estate near Wetherby.

TUS is making the short move this week from its current site on the estate to become the first company to move in to one of five newly built units on Ash Way.

The relocation represents real growth and the directors are convinced it will take turnover this year to in excess of GBP1million, said the company.

Established in 2003 as a specialist in printing press repairs, TUS has been growing in stature rapidly, it added.

Business expansion, in terms of additional services and continuing recruitment, has brought about the need for new premises.

A nationwide team of engineers has meant TUS has been able to expand its portfolio of services to the lithographic printing industry.

It now includes refurbishment, servicing and 24-hour repair call-out, help with relocating and storing print machinery, plus consultancy advice on productivity.

TUS also offers guillotine safety checks, having recently acquired REB .

Managing director Dean Trewin commented: 'This is such an exciting time for us, a very positive step forward that will enable us to build further on our current success.

TUS offers something really quite different in this market and there is much more yet in store." The expansion of the marketing department has brought about a redesign of the TUS corporate identity and new website, to be launched next week.

Trewin added: 'Our website will be key in rolling out our latest service - full facilitation for the buying and selling of print machinery.

It is a totally new approach and I am confident it will really take off.".
