USB Memory Drive For Multi-Function Printers

To support the latest line of HP multi-function printers, a new HP USB secure Flash Memory drive has been launched by Typehaus.

The TypeHaus USB Flash Memory drive is claimed to provide a discrete form factor that is said to be easily installed and is impact resistant.

The device is compatible with HP's Laserjet M3035MFP, Laserjet M4345MFP, Laserjet M5035MFP and Laserjet P3005.

The memory drive plugs directly in to the printers' USB port and has a storage capacity of 128Mb.

The USB Flash Drive has enough storage flexibility to store dozens of electronic forms, fonts and signatures and can be reprogrammed and updated, added Typehaus.

According to Tyopehaus, the Flash Memory drive reduces network traffic and bottlenecks by eliminating the large components of print files.

At the same time it increases printing speeds as fonts and logos, for instance, are always available on printer power-up.

Data stored on the Flash Drive can be protected to prevent unauthorised duplication and will work with most forms creation software.

Typehaus added that it will convert existing pre-printed forms to electronic forms and eliminate the need for any additional software.

The forms are installed to the USB Flash Drive and delivered ready for customer use.

A HP business partner, TypeHaus worked closely with the HP product team to develop the USB Flash drive.

Unlike commonly used flash or thumb drives, the Tyephaus HP USB Flash drive is claimed to be designed exclusively for HP printers supporting host USB.

The Typehaus products are available to users and resellers.

The product is a new addition to the company's existing HP compatible SIMMs, DIMMs and Compact Flash memory devices, whcih are used by IT personnel requiring a printer-based system.

San Diego-based Typehaus is a manufacturer and stocking reseller of printer supplies and memory devices.

Typehaus said it provides printer accessories, in addition to its proprietary hardware, including MICR toner, blank check stock, BarSIMM and BarDIMM, SIMMs, DIMMs, compact flash and USB drives for HP printers.

The company is also the manufacturer and stocking supplier for selected Lexmark Flash Memory products (1021208, 11K4616, 5K00116, and 5K00115).
