Arcnor has made its second acquisition in rapid succession with the purchase of Essex (UK) Mailing and Printing Company (MAP).

Arcnor, the recently formed holding company headed by direct marketing specialist Craig Prince, has made its second acquisition in rapid succession with the purchase of Essex (UK) Mailing and Printing Company (MAP).

The deal follows Arcnor's acquisition of Symbiosis Group and continues the company's strategy of building a direct marketing group offering corporate and brand clients an integrated network of marketing services.

MAP, which was in administration, will be relocated so that sales and production can be operated from two sites, in Harlow and South East London.

IT systems and equipment will also be upgraded and expanded.

Commenting on the acquisition, Craig Prince, the managing director of Arcnor, said: "This gives us another excellent team of people and enhances our quality client base.

We are well on the way to cementing our reputation as a major player in marketing services." Peter Petyt, the director of corporate finance at accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young, which specialises in the print and marketing sector, advised Arcnor on the transaction, as well as the acquisition of Symbiosis.
