Profits at paper group UPM during the third quarter of this year will be below those of the same period in 2006 because of rising costs, particularly wood, and the strengthened Euro.
UPM, though, believes that for the full year the group operating profit, excluding special items, is forecast to be higher than that of 2006.
The company added that paper deliveries in the third quarter of this year have been achieved according to the second quarter outlook it announced earlier.
UPM will publish its January - September interim report on October 30.
