One-Off Book Production Easier With Stacker
Ultimate Technographics will release its Impostrip Book Stacker at the Graph Expo exhibition.
Joining Ultimate Technographics in its efforts are South American manufacturers, such as Agfa, HP, IBM and Xerox, including major distributors such as GMS/Fuji, Newstech of Latina America, Easy Color of Brazil, Printex of Colombia and Tecnografica de Centro America.
Mexico is one of Latin America's most important print markets and an important print supplier to North America, added the company.
David Watson, president and chief executive officer of Ultimate Technographics, said: "As part of the North American Free Trade Agreement, Mexico is an obvious choice for us.
In the past decade, Mexico has been one of the USA's main print suppliers, combined with a growing internal market.
Mexican printers are modernising their equipment at an increasing rate." Heading those offices is Hilda A Arevalo, a software Engineer from ITESM, with a master's degree in photography.
Arevalo was in charge of the re-engineering and implementation of the new electronic pre-press departments for the Reforma Group Newspapers, which operates in Mexico with four newspapers in four different states - Reforma, El Norte, Mural and Palabra.
Hilda Arevalo said: "With the implementation of new controls and new digital equipment on the production process we were able to improve by 85 per cent the quality and speed our pre-press operation, which allowed the newspaper to recover all the investment in no more than a month's worth of labour.
With Impostrip Page Pairing and Ink Ready, I will be able to bring top products for newspapers." Arevalo also worked as a quality control director for the electronic pre-press department at Editorial Televisa, which is the largest and most important editorial in Mexico, coordinating and controlling the quality and color reproduction of its external print shops.
He commented: "Now, I'm a proud member of the Ultimate team, which is the leading company in Imposition software and continues to deliver the best for the printing industry with a new focus in developing the Latin Market." Ultimate Technographics will be exhibiting on various stands at Graphic of the Americas in Miami and at Imprexpo in Mexico.
