Significant growth in laser sales, fuelled by product development and the acquisition of the Alltec brand, has led to several new appointments at Videojet Technologies.

The promotion of Jonathan Pritchard to the post of laser sales specialist for Europe, Middle East and Africa is seen by the company as being of key importance.

Having undertaken a similar role for the UK sales operation since November 2003, Pritchard has proved to be the best candidate for the overseas job said the company.

Commenting on the appointment, Henk van Duijnhoven, vice president and general manager - EMEA for Videojet commented, "With Jonathan's drive, technical capability and sales expertise, we feel he is ideally placed to make a significant impact on European laser sales." He went on to add that Pritchard's appointment was part of a wider plan to develop a dedicated European laser resource that would underpin the laser division's next phase of growth.

An important part of Pritchard's job would be to work closely with field sales and service to provide expert customer support.

Responsibility for UK sales of the entire Videojet laser range would now fall to Rob Leonard, previously sales director with Alltec UK.
