Vio is continuing to drive the development of JDF applications by demonstrating its range of JDF integrated systems at Drupa 2004.

Vio will also exhibit its Ad Delivery preflight and delivery system integrated with Markzware's Flightcheck Online, on the Markzware stand A05, in hall 4 at the Messe.

Vio will showcase its JDF integrated technology for advertisement delivery, remote preflighting, remote printing, end-to-end automated workflow and enhanced networking at less cost.

Commenting on Vio at Drupa, Miranda Clegg, group marketing director said: "Vio is committed to providing its customers with solutions that address industry requirements and has been delivering JDF integration since 2002.

With JDF now seen as a recognised standard, we are pleased to be showing live examples of efficient customised production workflows, enabled through JDF in conjunction with several co-exhibitors on the CIP4 stand." The CIP4 JDF Parc has been specifically designed to offer visitors to Drupa the opportunity of viewing the benefits of JDF first hand.

On the Markzware stand, Vio will demonstrate Ad Delivery for the publishing industry, integrating preflighting and automated delivery.

It is based on JDF technology and integrates Vio's managed online delivery services with Markzware's Flightcheck Online advertisement checking capabilities.

It checks an advertisement against a publisher's current specifications hosted by Vio before it is sent, and then delivers both the advertisement and the preflight report to the publisher, along with a JDF-compliant Vio job ticket which can be used to populate the publishers in-house systems without re-keying.

Clegg continued: "Ad Delivery is already successfully installed and used by publishers such as Reed Business Information (and J Jays its pre-press supplier and host for the service) to receive advertisements for all its magazines" Other users include the Periodical Publishers Association in the UK for the pass4press industry standard ad preflighting and delivery service.

The Telegraph Group also use it for receiving ads to its national newspaper titles such as The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.

The Vio stand at Drupa 2004 will be in the CIP4 JDF Parc, stand A33 within hall 4.
