Booklet Making With Barcode Reader As Standard
Security for digital booklet making is claimed to have been improved with the addition of a barcode reader, fitted as standard at no extra cost by Watkiss Automation to its Document Finishing System.
CFI benefits from PowerSquare 200 investment
London based financial printing company, Chris Fowler International (CFI) has been named as the world's first PowerSquare 200 customer and quickly opted for a second system
It features fully automatic setting for different book sizes, including variable stitch leg length for varying book thickness.
The maximum book thickness, of 10mm (200 pages at 80gsm), is claimed to be twice that of alternative conventional booklet making machines, making it suitable for higher paginations or to thicker stocks.
Watkiss believes that makes the Powersquare200 a fast and cost effective alternative to perfect binding or tape binding with the security of a stitched spine.
As the system will also produce books from only a few sheets, it provides a single book making machine for documents from pages through to 200 pages, added the company.
Watkiss commented that digital print applications frequently use heavier stocks and need the flexibility to produce a wider range of finished books from a single process, with little or no operator intervention.
The company added that Powersquare is also suitable for Rigo perfect binders and the Hydrocut 520 guillotine, which it supplies in the UK.
Also on show from Watkiss will be the Lamibind 420 perfect binder and the new Hydrocut 520 guillotine.
The Hydrocut 520 is a hydraulically operated, 52cm cut guillotine.
It is aimed at the smaller user who is looking for reliable, consistent and simple operation.
It also includes light guarding as standard. Request a free brochure from Watkiss Automation Sales Limited ...
