Tadeusz Winkowski also won the award for the best entrepreneur in the services category.
This year's Polish competition was held at the Warsaw Technical University after the jury had chosen the final group of the 10 best Polish businessmen.
It was the first time a representative of the printing industry had been included.
The jury's statement said that Tadeusz Winkowski won the award for a consistent and successful building of trust in his company and striving for the best possible printing quality.
According to Tadeusz Winkowski, the award confirms the increasing importance of the whole Polish printing industry in Europe: "For many years I've been trying to convince people that Poland has an opportunity to be the European printing centre, especially after its accession to the EU.
Our competitiveness is based on our excellent location, very well equipped printing houses and highly skilled people." It was the third time that the Polish edition of the entrepeneur of the year competition has been held, whilst this year it is being staged in more than 40 countries, with the winners of different nations going forward to the world finals.
When choosing the best businessman, the jury takes in to consideration several different criteria, such as initiative for building and expanding the company, the company's strategy, its innovation and financial results and international successes.
Tadeusz Winkowski founded his company in 1998, through the merger of two printing companies - Zaklady Graficzne Warsaw-based Superkolor.
Currently, Winkowski is one of the two biggest printing houses in Poland.
Last year, the company achieved a turnover of 125m Euros and now exports more than 30 per cent of its production.
Two thousand people are employed in the company's three facilities and last year, the French printing magazine Caractere placed Winkowski amongst the top 10 printers in Europe.
