Wyndeham Invests £1.8m In New Direct Mail Press

Wyndeham Press Group Plc, a UK specialist magazines, commercial literature and direct mail printer has installed a new ?1.8 million press from RDP Marathon at Wyndeham Print Direct.

Wyndeham Press Group Plc, a UK specialist magazines, commercial literature and direct mail printer has installed a new £1.8 million press from RDP Marathon at its direct mail arm, Wyndeham Print Direct.

Located in Stockport, Wyndeham Print Direct produces continuous direct mail stationery and can count leading catalogue companies, financial institutions, advertising agencies and mailing houses as clients.

The new press, which is scheduled to become fully operational in June, has 10 printing units with remoist gluing, die cutting and variable cut off sizes to increase choice and flexibility for customers.

Claimed high running speeds will enable Wyndeham Print Direct to achieve quicker make-readies and changeovers, thereby increasing the turnaround of job times and increasing production efficiencies.

"We were previously turning work away because we didn't have the capacity," said Alan Hodgson, managing director of Wyndeham Print Direct.

"This new press will provide us with much needed additional capacity and will ensure that we maintain the highest possible standards of quality and service levels for the future," he added.
