New Technical Directors Appointed By Wyndeham
The Wyndeham Press Group has appointed Barry Fitzpatrick and David Brown as group technical directors, which are newly created roles for the group.

Barry Fitzpatrick is currently technical director at Wyndeham Graphics and David Brown is technical director at Wyndeham Heron.
They take on the new positions in addition to their current responsibilities and will work together to drive Wyndeham's technical strategy and development in its core pre-press, publishing and commercial print markets.
Barry Fitzpatrick becomes responsible for Wyndeham's pre-press division, including Wyndeham Argent and the Wyndeham Graphics companies, where he is developing its portfolio of web based workflows and flat-planning systems.
David Brown takes on responsibility for the pre-press and technical systems at Wyndeham's eight sheet-fed and web offset print sites, including the continued roll out of Agfa Delano as a project management tool for magazine publishers.
Within the Wyndeham businesses, Fitzpatrick and Brown will head up the strategic technical development teams encompassing such areas as workflow, colour management and communications.
The team will work together on initiatives to integrate the workflow process from file creation to pre-press and print using JDF and other industry standards.

He is a member of the PPA's steering committee for technical development and was instrumental in the development of the Pass for Press and Pic for Press standards.
David Brown has been technical director at Wyndeham Heron for eight years.
During that time he has been responsible for developing workflows to enable an early move to PDF and CTP with success for Wyndeham Heron and its customers.
Through that period a close relationship has been established with Agfa leading to Wyndeham Heron becoming a beta test site developing Apogee, Sublima and Delano.
