The Wyndeham Press Group has announced that Wyndeham Argent has been awarded the pre-press contract for TV Easy, the new weekly magazine from IPC tx, the TV listings division of IPC Media.

The Wyndeham Press Group has announced that Wyndeham Argent has been awarded the pre-press contract for TV Easy, the new weekly magazine from IPC tx, the TV listings division of IPC Media.

TV Easy is the UK's first compact, paid-for TV listings magazine, which launches a sample issue of over 1.5 million copies this week.

The award of the TV Easy contract is the latest addition to Wyndeham Argent's dedicated studio for IPC's listings titles, which consist of TV Times, TV and Satellite Week, What's on TV and Soaplife.

The studio at Wyndeham Argent will handle all colour origination for TV Easy and produce three regional UK variations each week with files produced overnight to a tight turn-around, said Wyndeham.

Steve Twort, group production manager for IPC tx, said: "Since taking on IPC's listings magazines last year, Wyndeham Argent has developed an unrivalled level of knowledge and expertise.

The complexity and regionalisation that is required for these titles means there was no question of TV Easy going elsewhere.

Wyndeham Argent has been a crucial partner in the extensive testing process over the last few months and the commitment and dedication of the team has been vital in ensuring a smooth launch." Tony Austin, group managing director of Wyndeham's pre-press division, commented: "We are delighted to have been awarded the TV Easy contract and to increase our portfolio of IPC titles.

This latest win demonstrates the continued strength of our relationship with IPC." TV Easy is the second major launch from IPC Media in 2005.

Wyndeham Argent also won the pre-press contract for Pick Me Up, the women's weekly from IPC Connect in January.

Over 1.5 million sample copies of the magazine will be distributed with IPC brands Pick Me Up, Now and Woman this week, whilst the first on-sale issue will hit the newsstand on May 3.

IPC has committed GBP10 million to marketing TV Easy through its first two years.
