Polestar Man To Join Wyndeham Heron

The Wyndeham Press Group has appointed Jim Algar, currently managing director of Polestar Colchester, as operations director at Wyndeham Heron.

The Wyndeham Press Group has appointed Jim Algar, currently managing director of Polestar Colchester, as operations director at Wyndeham Heron, the Group's flagship web offset print plant in Essex (UK).

As part of Wyndeham's continued investment and expansion of the Wyndeham Heron site, Algar will be charged with managing the manufacturing operations and print production for Wyndeham Heron's portfolio of magazines and catalogues.

It will have a strong customer oriented focus with quality control, schedules and on time delivery also part of the role.

Jim Algar has spent 30 years in the printing industry, the last three as managing director of Polestar Colchester.

Richard Heron, managing director, said: "We are delighted that Jim is joining Wyndeham Heron.

His extensive manufacturing experience and skills will strengthen our management team and will be invaluable in our drive for continued improvement and operational efficiencies." Algar said: "I'm looking forward to a fresh new challenge.

The Wyndeham Heron business continues to grow and evolve and with the second 64pp press soon to be operational this is an exciting time to join." Algar will join Wyndeham Heron after he has agreed a release date with Polestar.
