At Newstec, WRH Marketing UK Limited will promote information about leading post-press processing systems from Ferag AG as well as products from a portfolio of its trading partners.

The company will specifically promote Streamstitch, an in-line stitching system developed by Ferag.

Introduced for the first time at Ifra 2004, Streamstitch is said to address the economical demands of progressive newspaper publishers.

Contents on newsprint are inserted in to a cover on coated paper in the inserting drum and then stitched on-line in the UTR conveyor, while a subsequent three-side trim brings a further increase in the level of enhancement.

Streamstitch is suitable for installation in new Ferag systems and for retrofitting to existing mailrooms, said WRH.

Commented Marcus Evans, WRH Marketing UK's managing director: "Streamstitch is a new step on the way to fully integrated post-press processing while making productive use of conveyor lines.

Due to the ability to produce high-value semi-commercial products in-house, printers will benefit from shorter lead times, better use of capacity and stay independent from external resources.

As a result, customers benefit from made-to-measure systems from a single source.

Newstec is a very important show to us and we look forward to exchanging views and ideas with exhibition visitors.

We are constantly enhancing our equipment according to customers' feedback to provide added value to printers and eventually publishers, advertisers and newspaper readers." Visitors to the UK's Newstec exhibition in Brighton will also see presentations about Ferag's product range for the newspaper market, including the MSD and Rollsert inserting systems, the Rollstream pre-print and supplement gathering system, the UTR Conveyor, the Multistack bundling and SNT Trimming systems.
