WRH Marketing UK has extended its sales team with the appointment of Steve Lawton as sales manager for the company's northern sales team, covering newspaper and commercial printers.

WRH Marketing UK has extended its sales team with the appointment of Steve Lawton as sales manager for the company's northern sales team, covering newspaper and commercial printers in northern England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland Lawton has joined the company from press manufacturer, Goss International, where he spent 16 years, during which time he managed projects across the UK and mainland Europe and acquired knowledge of all aspects of the offset printing market, said WRH

His main roles at Goss were as a customer service engineer, providing after-sales support by managing press refurbishments, reconfigurations, extensions and relocations.

Latterly he was a commercial engineer for product enhancements, helping customers to adapt the latest press technology to their existing presses.

His responsibilities in his new position with WRH will be to identify sales opportunities within his portfolio of existing customers and to expand WRH Marketing UK's customer base within his region.

Reporting to sales director, Lee Whatmough, Lawton will be based at WRH Marketing UK's northern office at Delph, Greater Manchester.

Marcus Evans, managing director of WRH Marketing UK, commented: "We're constantly on the look-out for individuals whose knowledge or experience will add an extra dimension to our capability to penetrate the market further and Steve certainly brings that.

Steve's specialist knowledge of presses and the press manufacturing industry will be tremendous asset to us, particularly in relation to those of our trade product partners whose press related products we distribute." Lawton said: "WRH Marketing UK has an impressive reputation within the industry, so I'm delighted to be joining the team.
