Maintenance-Free Pump's Long Life

Watson-Marlow has introduced its heavy-duty SPX pump for challenging printing applications.

Watson-Marlow has introduced its heavy-duty SPX pump for challenging printing applications The SPX is said to handle a variety of paper materials, such as dye and defoamer

The pump's hose technology enables the SPX to pump all paper components, from metering dyes to adding and transferring acids and latex over a long period of time, said the company.

Peristaltic hose pumps are virtually maintenance free with no expensive seals to replace, no check valves to clog, and no rotors and stators to wear out, claimed Watsn-Marlow.

There is no leaking, clogging or blocking caused by valves and seals.

Pumped material is only in contact with a tube, leading to longer pump life.

With the self-loading design, hose replacement is said to be quick and easy.

Every Watson-Marlow Bredel peristaltic pump is an inherent metering pump with claimed repeatability at 99.5 per cent.

Many models include integral digital drives and displays in washdown enclosures.

The self-priming pumps accommodate flow rates from 0.1 microlitre to 350gpm, and are durable by withstanding pressures up to 232psi, said the company.

There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners, or glands to impede flow, and the pumps are reversible for back flushing lines.

They can also run dry indefinitely without damage and provide up to a 30' suction lift. Request a free brochure from Watson-Marlow Bredel Pumps ...
