Xaar Ties Up Inkjet Solvent Ink Deal In China

Xaar and Beijing Saven Times Digital Technology have signed an agreement to enable Saven to sell C Series solvent ink certified for the XJ128 printheads in China.

Xaar and Beijing Saven Times Digital Technology have signed an agreement to enable Saven to sell C Series solvent ink certified for the XJ128 printheads in China.

The Cambridge (UK) company added that the two companies have laid the foundation for future global distribution of this ink.

Xaar said that its printheads are widely used throughout China in the wide format graphics print industry and the new agreement provides Chinese distributors and end users access to a Xaar endorsed ink, which has been tested for compatibility with, and recommended for use in the XJ128 printheads.

Jill Woods, Xaar's inks and peripherals product manager, said: "We need to emphasise again just how important it is for certified, compatible inks to be used - without them inkjet machines will not achieve optimum performance in print applications.

We have conducted an extensive range of tests on the Saven C Series solvent inks to ensure they are fully compatible with the XJ128 printheads.

As a result, we can confidently advise our customers that when selecting the Saven-Xaar branded ink they are using a high quality ink that is confirmed as being compatible with XJ128 head." And Rong Jin, a director of Saven, added: "The Xaar brand is recognised and trusted throughout China for its robust and reliable, high quality printhead technologies.

Saven has a large existing client range and is renowned as a provider of quality inks.

This new partnership provides the framework for us to extend in to new markets with a professional solvent ink product and with our combined technical support." Ian Dinwoodie, Xaar's chief executive officer, said: "We recognise Saven's expertise in digital inkjet inks and together we plan to fully support our valued customer and in time penetrate the market further and expand upon our growing customer base.".
