Xaar has announced two key appointments to its Americas operation - Chris Lynn joins as vice president of sales and marketing for Xaar Americas and Edsel Lonza joins as sales manager for Latin America.

Chris Lynn has 20-years' experience in the graphics industry and has held senior management positions at pre-press vendor Crosfield Electronics, global equipment distributor Hagemeyer Cosa Liebermann, and digital asset management vendor Mediabin (now part of Interwoven).

Xaar added that he is well-known as a consultant and speaker on technology for marketing and publishing.

Lynn has been a frequent contributor to The Seybold Report and other industry publications.

He has lived in the USA since 1994.

Edsel Lonza, who will be based in Sao Paulo (Brazil) joins Xaar from Alphagraphics where he helped establish the franchise printer as a market leader in Brazil.

With international experience in companies such as Fujifilm and ICI Films, Lonza will manage Xaar's growth in Latin America.

Lynn said: "I am excited to be joining Xaar in this period of tremendous growth in the industrial inkjet business.

Digital printing is making it possible for short-run manufacturing to be cost-effective in a whole range of industries, and Xaar technologies are making this happen right now." Xaar's global sales and marketing director, Phil Eaves, commented: "We're delighted to have Chris and Edsel on board.

Their industry knowledge, experience and drive will be critical to the growth of our business in the Americas.".
