Xaar Launches High Speed Ink Jet Printhead
Xaar is upgrading its successful XJ128 printhead portfolio with the launch of a new high-speed version, the XJ128/200 Plus.
Formulated using what are claimed to be high-quality pigments with high fade-resistance, the ink is said to ensure long-lasting results in outdoor applications.
Its fast-curing capability enables high-productivity and offers adhesion and a tough, scratch-resistant finish on a range of rigid and flexible substrates, added the company.
That makes the ink set suitable for internal and external graphics, such as banner and signage printing, POS, vehicle and exhibition graphics, as well as backlit graphics and window displays.
Xaar Ink product manager, Dr Jill Woods, commented: "This announcement further demonstrates our commitment to work with leading industry players to offer an open ink system to ensure the best ink and printhead combination for a broad range of applications." Jan Vangeel, Agfa Graphics' vice president of inkjet solutions, added: "After years of co-development of the Xaar Omnidot 760 printhead, this approval is a logical step.
Agfa Graphics is strongly committed to developing high standard inkjet inks, such as this Xaar UV-cure ink set.
It goes without saying that Agfa Graphics is very pleased with this approval.".
