Xaar Launches High Speed Ink Jet Printhead
Xaar is upgrading its successful XJ128 printhead portfolio with the launch of a new high-speed version, the XJ128/200 Plus.
Said to be designed for high-speed, single-pass applications, the Xaar 1001 printhead is based on Xaar's patented Hybrid Side-Shooter and TF technology.
With dynamically variable drop sizes, the new printhead architecture combines piezo technology with Xaar's patented 'through-flow' design.
The Xaar 1001 is claimed to provide precision, a choice of selectable and variable drop sizes, self-priming and self-cleaning combined with repeatability, productivity and a long life.
In addition, Xaar will also present two heads that are claimed to provide new levels of flexibility and performance and which extend the Xaar 318 series designed for UV curable and oil based inks.
The 318/CA4 head, an enhanced version providing 16 variable drop sizes, will make its debut at FESPA, whilst the 318/CE2 combines a claimed 300 dots per inch (dpi) resolution with high output performance for fixed and scanning applications.
Xaar is a Fespa technology partner and visitors to FESPA will be able to learn where the future of inkjet lies at seminars that will be led by Mark Alexander, Xaar's director of marketing.
He will examine 'the past, present and future of inkjet' in a series of free seminars throughout the show.
They will be held on June 5, 6 and 8, whilst Ian Dinwoodie, the chief executive officer of Xaar, will take part in the keynote digital debate at FESPA on June 7.
