Xeretec, the UK Xerox reseller, has made three senior appointments to its board as it shapes its strategy.

Xeretec, the UK Xerox reseller, has made three senior appointments to its board as it shapes its strategy - with Steve Hawkins, Warren Beard and Geoff Duffelen, promoted The company said that their appointments are is part of the its strategy for growth following strong success in digital production printing, managed services and process outsourcing for business customers

Mark Duffelen, the co-founder and a director of Xeretec, commented: "We are delighted to welcome the new directors to the board and look forward to working closely with them in building on Xeretec's success.

We have seen strong growth in our core markets and the business continues to demonstrate excellent financial performance.

However, we believe that with the larger management team, we will be able to give more focus to areas where we see significant opportunities for growth - but not at the expense of our existing customers." A key component of the company's growth plan is to expand its presence in the business and larger corporate printing sector, particularly in the areas of managed services and process outsourcing.

The company will also be expanding its product and service offering via a number of alliances with specialist software suppliers and more announcements will follow, he added.

Steve Hawkins joins Xeretec from Xerox where he held the position of general manager for Xerox's UK concession channel.

Having spent seven years at Xerox working for both corporate customers and channel partners, he brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in exceeding sales targets and managing highly successful sales and account teams, added Xeretec.

Geoff Duffelen worked for Xeretec for the last 10 years and has been instrumental in helping to develop and build the business.

He joins the Xeretec board from the position of senior sales manager, which he has held since 2000.

Duffelen brings experience in driving sales within key accounts as well as planning marketing campaigns and organising and delivering staff and customer training.

Prior to joining Xeretec he was in the Royal Navy for six years.

Warren Beard joins the Xeretec board from the position of senior sales account manager.

Having joined the company in 1999, he has consistently been Xeretec's most successful salesperson over the last four years and was responsible for a major part of the production sales revenue in 2004, said the company.

He holds a BA Honours degree in Business Administration and has specialist expertise in the graphic arts marketplace.

Xeretec's co-founder, Alyn Jenkins, said: "Each of the new board members brings a unique skill set that will ensure we are able to take Xeretec on to the next level.

Our success is based on the strength of our customer relationships and with the expanded management team, we will be in an even better position to focus on this.
