Surprise Partnership For Agfa Produces New Machine
A new partnership has produced a new flatbed digital press for screen-printing in a surprise move.
The company said they bring operational and commercial experience at a time when Xennia is preparing for significant growth.
Over the past decade, Xennia has built its business in emerging industrial inkjet applications.
As a contract development house, Xennia said it has created new applications for customers in sectors as diverse as packaging, beverages, consumer goods, electronics, displays, healthcare and automotive.
It has increasingly developed and supplied fully integrated, customised inkjet systems including printers, software and fluids.
Unlike most integrators, in Xennia's opinion it is its stance that chemistry is the key to unlocking the full potential of inkjet that marks its approach.
This year, as the next step in its development, Xennia plans to launch Xenjet, its new product supply subsidiary.
Xenjet will capitalise on Xennia's product development expertise and intellectual property to provide a range of print engines, production printers and inks, as well as a suite of development tools.
Alan Hudd, Xennia's president commented: "In launching Xenjet, Xennia will build on its track record in inkjet ink formulation and system engineering to offer our customers a truly one stop shop for industrial inkjet applications.
We will provide customers with a package of products and services, from application evaluation programs, through contract development of fully functional prototypes, to supply and support of production printers and inks.
Our aim is to make it easy for our customers to implement robust, cost effective, industrial inkjets." And he continued: "These are exciting times for Xennia and I am delighted to welcome John and Tracey to the board.
John is one of the most talented and experienced inkjet engineers in the business and he has brought a massive boost to our systems and production capabilities.
Tracey has an impressive track record in product marketing and business development and her arrival at Xennia coincides with our plans for an increasingly product oriented business.".
