Xennia has acquired Texas (USA) based Vivid Print Innovations, the industrial inkjet integrator, from Xaar.

Xennia has acquired Texas (USA) based Vivid Print Innovations, the industrial inkjet integrator, from Xaar.

The acquisition strengthens Xennia's position as an inkjet integration company and provides a platform for the US manufacture of Xennia's industrial inkjet printers and inks, said the company.

The move comes at a time of rapid adoption of inkjet in to a wide range of industrial applications and underpins Xennia's emergence as a global technology provider, it believes.

Nick Balon, chief operating officer at Xennia, said: "Vivid brings extensive inkjet integration experience and has an impressive track record across graphic arts, package printing, product decoration and materials deposition.

As well as boosting our technical resources and product range, the acquisition brings us an established US operation that will allow us to give first class local service to our growing US customer base and begin US production." Bill Leach, president of Vivid, added: "Joining forces with Xennia is an exciting step for us all.

The combined team has a breadth and depth of industrial inkjet experience that is second to none.

Xennia's ink capabilities also bring a new dimension to our business and we are looking forward to being able to offer our customers turnkey hardware and fluid systems." Vivid will be fully integrated in to the Xennia group and will trade as Xennia Technology.
