Exhibiting for the first time at Northprint, Xeikon GB will be focussing on three recent product introductions - the latest toner release for its digital print engines - stand A142.

The X-800 front-end and its add-on image protection unit, Print Protector, will be shown in the UK for the first time.

Print Protector can be used in conjunction with any Xeikon print engine to add a protective emulsion to printed pages, allowing for easier sheet handling during finishing stages and it is claimed to reduce the potential for such finishing equipment to scratch or mark the sheet.

The X-800 front-end provides is said to be a companion for Xeikon's 5000 print engine.

The latest workflow techniques are also integrated within X-800, including the ability to perform post-RIP imposition, colour adjustment and screen selection.

The system is capable of integrating with a management information system (MIS) to allow the free exchange of job information said the company.
