Xinet's new Webnative Portal, for which it earned an Executive Outlook Print '05 'Worth-a-Look' award, is claimed to give advertising agencies, magazines, publishers and printers secure and flexible digital asset management.

Described by Xinet as a collaborative bridge between content creation and manufacturing systems, Webnative Portal is claimed to make it simple for companies to create a powerful, visible web presence without investing in costly infrastructure.

Webnative Portal provides a display layer for the total Xinet product range.

That includes the Fullpress server software engine, Webnative, a web-based front-end to Fullpress that gives round the clock access to files and archives, and Webnative Venture, an integrated database that lets printers create automated, database-driven workflows.

Fullpress is said to enable businesses dealing in graphic media to build efficient, integrated workflows.

It provides file sharing and print spooling, image conversion, hot folder automation, sophisticated output generation, extensive file format support and standard and proprietary RIP integration, added the company.

Webnative is a window in to Xinet's file and archive system, whilst Webnative Venture combines the functions of Fullpress and Webnative with an integrated, enterprise-strength SQL database.
