Xitron Launches Xenith Extreme Workflow With JDF
Xitron has launched the new 6.0 version of Xenith Extreme.
The release includes enhancements to pre-flighting with a new Enfocus library,; optional direct driver support for the Epson Ultrachrome K3 printers (including the 4800, 7800 and 9800 models) and improvements to the client software for Macintosh and Windows.
R Patrick French, the vice president of sales and marketing for Xitron, said: "This latest release is part of our continuing commitment to provide our customers with product improvements and enhancements on a regular basis.
The feedback received from our customer base helps us determine our development direction and product enhancements, such as those found in Xenith 6.04.3." Existing users with a support agreement are eligible to receive a complimentary upgrade to Xenith 6.04.3 when done in conjunction with an installation bundle from Xitron Educational Services and Support via Webex or a Xitron Xenith certified dealer.
The installation charge for support agreement customers is claimed to represent a 50 per cent saving off the normal Webex installation charges for such an upgrade, said Xitron.
Customers not under current support agreements may purchase the upgrade, plus the Webex installation charge, or purchase a support agreement and receive the upgrade at no charge and installation for a reduced cost as an incentive for renewing the support agreement.
Xitron will demonstrate the full line of RIPs and workflow systems in conjunction with several OEM customers during Ipex 2006 in Birmingham (UK).
