Proofing Plug-In Supports Epson Printers
Xitron's vDot-3, a proofing plug-in that is said to support the Epson Ultrachrome K3 printers with Vivid Magenta ink, has been released.
The vDot-3 plug-in also supports Epson's 4880, 7880 and 9880 printers and Xitron said that the system also provides Navigator users with direct support for Epson's latest line of printers for the proofing market, together with control over colours to produce proofs The company added that ICC profiles for its X1 Totalproof substrates, screening specifically designed for Epson printers and direct support for all eight-ink channels in the 4880, 7880 and 9880 printers are featutred

Until June 2008, users who buy an Epson plug-in will also receive a starter roll of Xitron's X1 Totalproof media, which is said to have been formulated to meet the demands of commercial printers by matching a typical commercial press sheet.
In addition vDot-3, Xitron said it offers a selection of colour-managed plug-ins and stand-alone proofing RIPs to drive Canon and HP inkjet proofers, as well as a Universal Windows Printer plug-in to support inkjet or laser printers that utilise a Windows printer driver.
