Xitron is to incorporate Lucid Dream technology in to the Expressconnect family of online submission and proofing systems.
Under the agreement Express Connect will be able to provide small and medium-sized commercial printers with web-based job submission and online proofing, continuously available automated pre-press capabilities and reduced operator intervention, as well as the capability to provide facilities previously afforded only by larger printing operations Expressconnect is said to offer small to medium-sized commercial printers a complete web-based job submission and online proofing system that can be incorporated with most workflow operations

Xitron, the developer and integrator of RIPs is to launch the latest versions of its popular Navigator Harlequin RIP, Xiflow workflow, and Xenith Extreme Adobe RIP at Drupa 2004.
A printer's customers will be able to submit their PDFs or PostScript files via Expressconnect at any time and, once submitted, PDF files are automatically pre-flighted.
If PostScript files are submitted, the integrated PDF Creator option generates a normalised PDF and then pre-flights the PDF file.
