Xitron's Expressconnect online job submission and proofing system for small and medium-sized commercial printers, will be demonstrated at Drupa 2008 on stand 9D in hall nine.
According to Xitron, Expressconnect has integrated pre-flighting and features automated job status notification, workflow integration and an integrated PDF option The system is also said to be capable of expansion

Xitron has launched the new 6.0 version of Xenith Extreme.
Xitron claimed that Expressconnect can enhance a printer's pre-press department by extending its accessibility from normal business hours to a 24-hour, seven days-a-week operation.
Customers can submit their jobs at any time utilising Expressconnect's web browser interface.
The system will automatically accept and pre-flight files and then generate a soft proof of the job.
Email notifications are sent automatically to the customer providing them with feedback about each step of the pre-press process, added the company.
Jobs are submitted to Expressconnect through its interface where basic job ticket information is entered by the customer.
That information is submitted along with the job to the printer's CSR, or pre-press department.
Expressconnect integrates with Xitron's Navigator GPS and Xenith workflow systems and the company's own workflow products, whilst integrating with most other workflow systems, said the company.
Expressconnect is provided in a bundle, which includes a turnkey computer pre-loaded with the system's software.
Training and installation is provided at customers' premises by a Xitron support specialist.
Mark Eisenschenk, Xitron's president and chief executive officer, said: "Expressconnect expands the pre-press capabilities of small and medium-sized commercial printers.
We are providing an online job submission and proofing system that is affordable for all printers.".
