Xitron has introduced an upgrade for Heidelberg Harlequin RIPs used in conjunction with the Heidelberg DI press to the Navigator GPS workflow.
Navigator GPS 8 provides updated Harlequin core RIP technology, support for PDF 1.7, XPS 1.0 and an integrated workflow from client workstations.
It provides job management functions, an enhanced job viewer for soft proofing at the pre-press operator workstation and optional PDF tools for creating and pre-flighting PDFs, including the latest Enfocus Pitstop.
Library Navigator RIP Manager is integrated with Navigator GPS 8.
Navigator GPS 8 includes a PDF soft-proofing plug-in option, which creates a raster PDF of jobs for final client approval.
RIP Manager includes extensive job management, soft proofing and RIP feedback at prepress operator workstations.
It can enable/disable RIP from the workstations.
Expanded search options make it easier to locate jobs in the workflow.
The PDF Tools option incorporates the latest Enfocus Pitstop library in the preflighting module.
