Xante Corporation's Impressia metal platesetter has been named winner of Electronic Publishing's 12 Hot Products award for 2004.

Xante Corporation's Impressia metal platesetter has been named winner of Electronic Publishing's 12 Hot Products award for 2004.

The annual award recognises the latest innovative, creative products and technology released in the past year in the digital publishing industry.

Impressia incorporates new technology in metal CTP, claimed the company.

It is built on Z-7 technology, a combination of new and existing core technology developed by the company's engineering design team.

The Impressia's process-free, chemical-free workflow is not only capable of 2,400 dots per inch (dpi) - 150 lines per inch (lpi) and it is the world's fastest metal CTP system the company claimed.

Xante's president and chief executive officer Robert C.

Ross, Jr said: "I'm very proud of our design team.

This award proves that their talent is truly world class.

We set out to create a revolutionary technology that was thought impossible to achieve.

Our designers accepted that challenge and shocked the industry with the introduction of Impressia," said Robert Ross.
