Xante Corporation and Serendipity have combined their technologies in one product.

The colour technology of Xante's CL30, coupled with the high-speed de-imposition technology of Serendipity's Blackmagic 3, is proving to be a success, according to Xante.

Chris Estes, Xante's director of worldwide marketing, said: "Serendipity is the proven leader in RIP post-processing software for the newsprint, textbook and magazine market.

When you combine the award-winning, high speed, digital colour of Xante's CL30 with Serendipity's technology, it is a perfect match.

It is the fastest proofing solution available today." Drupa, IFRA, and Graph Expo held demonstrations of CL30, paired with Serendipity's Blackmagic software.

Blackmagic software, customised to work with Xante's CL30, is claimed to provide a fast, accurate method for creating a complete working print dummy prior to the generation of contract proofs, or imaging to film or plate.

With the CL30 and Blackmagic, a typical 88-page job iss aid to take under 25 minutes to produce.

Blackmagic enables magazines and large publications to be de-imposed and printed in page sequence at the click of a button, whilst CL30's tandem LED technology and single-pass imaging is claimed to enable faster document throughput.

Blackmagic eliminates the time and labour associated with manually de-imposing large files, said Xante.
