On the Xante stand - 224 - at the Graphics of the Americas (GOA) exhibition, visitors will see demonstrations of Xante's Platemaker 5 and Impressia.

The Platemaker 5 prints directly to polyester plates or film utilising Z-7 technology that is claimed to ensure clean plates, crisp images, precise registration and smooth halftones.

The Impressia metal platesetter uses radiant exposure technology to image directly to non-photosensitive Aspen metal plates that consistently maintain image quality, even on long runs, added Xante.

Also on display, the Illumina Digital Color Press will be producing multi-bit colour on heavy stock weights up to 427gsm, including a variety of coated and uncoated papers.

The Ilumina is said to be capable of producing many types of process-colour jobs, such as business cards, postcards, brochures and in-store signs.
