In the end the clear decision was to go with the iGen3." With the addition of the Xerox iGen3 the company could provide the expertise to help customers mine their data and create the right message and graphics to appeal to individuals on a one to one basis, he added.

BCP, based in Buckingham (UK), was formed in 1976 and won the Printer of the Year award presented by the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) in 2002-2003 and holds a number of other environmental and business awards.
The company has been a Xerox customer for many years and already operates a Xerox Docucolor 100 Advantage digital colour press, two Xerox Docucolor 12 copier-printers and a mono Xerox Document Centre 470 digital copier.
It also runs a wide format Xerox Colorgrafx 2 colour inkjet printer for poster and exhibition applications.
Buckingham Colour Press is part of the Buckingham Colour Group, which also includes Buckingham Design, Busiprint and large format personalised poster printer, Jolly Big.
Although it started off as a litho colour printing specialist it has developed its digital printing division to become a stand-alone business.
The Xerox iGen3 was launched in 2002 and, according to Xerox, it offers image quality that compares favourably to offset while enabling economical production of short runs that are not cost effective on traditional presses.
Its operating speed of 100 pages a minute is unmatched among cut-sheet digital presses, believes the company.
Xerox also supports the press with a workflow suite, business development tools and service and support.
Peter Taylor, director of graphic arts for Xerox UK said: "We are delighted to build and develop our relationship with the Buckingham Colour Group with this latest installation.
The iGen3 represents the cutting edge in digital technology and continues to push back the boundaries of what is possible with personalised one-to-one communications, epitomized by the work that is being done by Buckingham Colour.".
