Xerox has announced that two continuous feed experts have rejoined its UK team, further strengthening the company's expertise in the area.

John Acton rejoins Xerox from Oce and brings over 20 years of experience in print back to Xerox where he will act as continuous feed specialist for the corporate and public sector for the northern regions of the UK.

Chris Place also rejoins the organisation where he began his print career and spent 16 years before moving to IBM.

He now returns to the specially created role of continuous feed specialist for the corporate and public sector for the southern regions.

Both will report into Anoush Dowlatshahi-Gordon, director of production group, Xerox UK.

The company also commented that globally it is focussing on building its market share in continuous feed, a market traditionally dominated by Oce and IBM.

This move was underlined with the launch of the Docuprint 525 and 1050CF at the Drupa trade show in Germany with the publishing market and printers of transactional documents the key target audiences.

John Acton, who was leading Oce salesman in his last four years at the company winning two international awards, said that Xerox's ambition in continuous feed had been a critical factor in his return.
