Glasgow Print and Design Centre has upgraded the company's digital equipment with its first Xerox DocuColor 5000 Digital Press after finding system the best-fit technology for its needs

The Xerox DocuColor 5000 Digital Press will ensure its future growth and allow it to deliver noticeably faster and more reliable service with significantly improved output colours.

Launched in May 2006, the DocuColor 5000 features 2400 x 2400 dpi print resolution and state-of-the-art laser technology.
Its 32-beam laser - compared to a typical 2-beam laser - allows the press to process data faster and at a higher resolution.
The DocuColor 5000 also offers a wider choice of colour management capabilities than other light-production digital colour systems presently available on the market.
The press is designed to produce marketing brochures, posters, customised direct-mail pieces and more.
