Yupo Corporation is featuring its UV printable grade stock for commercial printing, converting and labelling applications at Labelexpo Europe 2005 in Brussels, starting today - stand 12V40.

Yupo's FPR 200 is specifically engineered for UV hybrid, offset and flexo printing applications.

According to the company, UV printing has become increasingly popular amongst brand owners, package designers, label makers and converters due to its high gloss, smooth, uniform surface and scuff and chemical resistance.

Paul Mitcham, Yupo's national marketing manager, said: "The print quality produced with UV is exceptional.

Brilliant colour reproduction, durability and super smooth surface can now be easily obtained with our FPR 200." Previously, Yupo's material printed with UV inks required a primer coating before applying the inks, however the new grade can be UV printed without a primer.

That improves efficiency and reduces the expense of UV print runs on Yupo stock.

"With this new grade users can increase productivity whilst delivering the consistent and brilliant results graphic designers and brand owners demand from UV printing," said Mitcham.

UV printing on FPR 200 is claimed to be durable with no marking or streaking.

Users gain the high-end, lustrous look produced by UV printing inks with the production benefits of a one-step process.

In addition to its new UV printable grade, Yupo Corporation manufactures a range of synthetic papers for the packaging and labelling industries, which are used for IML, pressure sensitive and heat transfer.
