Yupo Corporation America will launch its newest grade of synthetic paper, Yupo Accel, at the HOW Design Conference, June 12-15.

The new premium grade is claimed to allow up to an 80 per cent reduction of drying time compared to previous products, enabling critical deadlines to be met, whilst delivering superior results, said Yupo.

Accel's improved dry time can significantly improve press room efficiency and traffic, according to the company.

For graphic designers in search of a differentiator for a last minute job, the Yupo product's look and feel is available with a fast turn-around.

Yupo said that Accel will be available from June.

"Paul Mitcham, Yaupo's national marketing manager, said: "We all know what's like to be under a tight deadline and for printers and graphic designers, delivering superior results is essential to their businesses.

Accel makes our synthetic paper a first choice even when timing is tight." In addition to its fast drying properties, Accel demonstrates improved gloss and stiffness, claimed the company.

Like all Yupo paper, Accel is ultra-white, super smooth and claimed to be durable.

It is chemical and stain-resistant, 100 per cent waterproof and recyclable.

Mitcham added: "We asked over 20 commercial printers to test Accel and the response has been overwhelming.

It not only performed with brilliant results but it exceeded expectations with time savings." Accel will be available in 68lb Text (5.1pt) and 78lb Text (5.9pt) as well as 58lb Cover (8pt), 74lb Cover (9.9pt) and 86lb Cover (11.6 pt).
