Localised print houses often are priced out of the web-to-print market, as proprietary software demands larger budgets geared towards involvement with third-party partners, said Zetaprints, which developed the new system.
The Coreldraw option provides a way to avoid that expense, as the only requirement is to purchase a Coreldraw software package to build templates for orders.
Zetaprints added that the Coreldraw software is priced well below most desktop publishing software available today.

New Ink Zone Presetting Breaks Barriers
In their digital proof CIP3 option, some printing machine suppliers only support ink zone presetting for single-sided jobs.
Zetaprints expands on that software by providing servers to process the pre-press orders and a storefront for print shops to offer their services on-line.
Within an hour, a print shop can set up a storefront with a catalogue that offers business cards, brochures, and other print materials for its customers, claimed the company.
Print shop clients can place orders 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week and they can use catalogue templates to alter text, to add images, and to approve layout and design.
The company believes that the simplified pre-press system provides smaller commercial printers a means to operate independently without overdue expense.
Payment for the service is based on a sliding scale determined by number of orders placed, and payment is charged when the order is complete.
Additionally, in-house graphic designers can now focus on more complex projects when clients become an integral part of the pre-press process on short run orders.
Zetaprints, in Wellington (New Zealand) has tracked its new web-to-print service with a limited number of local printers for the last two months.
The web-to-print services helped local printers to achieve an unexpected growth in the number of clients and in their serviced geographical area with the use of the on-line storefront and rapid pre-press turn-around.
The new enterprise platform is claimed to allow for solid order growth without affecting in-house performance.
The preliminary results of the Zetaprints trial confirmed that end users prefer a simple print ordering system with smooth workflow to more complex and feature-rich systems, added the company.
