Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jun 26, 2007

Zebra has acquired artwork and pre-press bureau, Blaze Creative, which offers the newly enlarged organisation experience in the pre-media production of directories.

The deal will also allow Zebra to take advantage of additional IT and account management services.

Blaze Creative will be incorporated in to the Zebra brand with Blaze directors, David Paris and Nick Cawsey, joining Zebra's senior management team.

Simon Gambling, managing director of Zebra, commented: "The acquisition of Blaze Creative supports our plans for growth and also demonstrates our investment in skills and people.

With our new contracts on board, it's critical we continue to provide our customers with the very best service and also offer them additional products to produce most creative, colour critical and quality-driven jobs." He added: "Blaze Creative offers Zebra a wealth of experience, especially in the production of directory publications and the deal will reinforce the customer service and IT areas of our business, as well as bringing additional customers and sales to the company." Dave Paris, Blaze Creative's director, said: "Zebra is a forward-thinking organisation with a good reputation in the market.

It is hard working and hands on and its commitment to providing its customers with the very best service and quality are values we can relate to.

Our acquisition by Zebra means we are moving to a dynamic and rapidly growing company that can offer our customers an enhanced range of pre media services." And he explained: "For Blaze Creative, it's a giant leap forward and an exciting time for all of us here.

We've already received a positive response from our customers and we're looking forward to becoming part of the Zebra team.".
