Shinohara press helps firm win book print award

An Intelligent Finishing Systems product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Nov 2, 2009

Falcon Press has installed a Graphic Arts Equipment (GAE) supplied five-colour B3 Shinohara 52VP press, with which it won a high commendation in the Best British Book category at the BPIF Book Awards.

This was the first time that Falcon Press had entered the awards.

The family-run Stockton-on-Tees, UK, operation received the commendation for its production of the book 'Isle of Wight Festival 1970 Six Days That Rocked The World'.

The Shinohara 52VP has joined a six-colour B2 Shinohara 74 press at Falcon Press when a move to double-day shifts proved insufficient to meet a steadily increasing demand at the company.
